What is Karma?

Just noticed the Karma +/- thing :
How does it work? (I have never posted things on forums before)

Just given you some Karma

Basically if you 'like' the post the person has made you can 'applaud' them and their karma will go up by '1'......if you dislike it 'smite' them and it will go down by '1'.
