COD and Counter Strike are both based on Quake Engine, they both use the same method for keyinput.

kbutton_t defines the keys in both games

In Counter Strike tutorials they teach you how to find the forceAttack and forceJump variables, these are just kbutton_t variables, it's the same for COD

Search for changed values when you press the button. There is a full explanation of how it works for CSGO here Tutorial - CSGO m_fFlags offset & dwForceJump offset + Bitfields info

it will be a bit different for COD games but similar

No, because every game is different. You need to be more specific.

Try jump and on your way up, pause and search for a bigger number than 0 in cheat engine. Un-pause the game and on your way down pause it again and search for a value that's smaller than 0. Keep doing that until you only have like 1-3 addresses. One of those addresses should be your y-velocity. Then when you need to jump you can set that value pretty high.
