How long you been coding/hacking?
5 years
Dark theme in IDA is made of two parts:

zyantific/IDASkins
eugeneching/ida-consonance

If you're using IDA 6.5 - > 6.9 you will need IDASkins 1.4.1
https://github.com/zyantific/IDASkins/releases/download/v1.4.1/release-1.4.1.zip

For all versions of IDA you can use the same ida-consonance for the code blocks and highlighting.

Install IDASkins first:
  1. Copy IDASkins.p64 & IDASkins.plw into the IDA plugins folder
  2. Open IDA Pro
  3. Edit -> Plugins -> IDA Skins: Settings
  4. Select IDASkins dark -> Click OK
To install ida consonance:
  1. Copy ida-consonance.clr into the IDA directory, wherever
  2. Open IDA Pro
  3. Options -> Colors -> Import
  4. Navigate to IDA directory
  5. Select ida-consonance.clr and open
  6. Click Ok
  7. Close & re-open IDA Pro
  8. Profit

IDA 7.0+

For IDA 7.0+ IDASkins has been migrated to a IDAPython plugin which is different than the .p64 and .plw type plugins, but it also includes the ida consonance styles.

For IDA 7.0, 7.1 & 7.2 just install this version of IDA Skins v2.1.0:
https://github.com/zyantific/IDASkins/archive/v2.1.0.zip

if you try the older version for 7.0 it will not work, make sure you get v2.1.0

just extract idaskins.py and the idaskins folder to your Ida\plugins folder, open IDA and go to Edit->Plugins->IdaSkins

For IDA 7.3 IDASkins is deprecated, 7.3 has built in theme support

I have IDA Pro 6.8
Trying to use this theme. zyantific/IDASkins
Hey so I'm trying to install a Dark Theme on IDA Pro because I love my eyes. However, just moving the files into the Plugins directory isn't working, neither was adding them to my Plugins.cfg.

I Keep getting this error.

And these are the two lines I added to my plugins.cfg

Code:
Code:
    ; IDASkin idaskins.py 0 0 ; IDA Skin
    ; IDASkinFolder idaskins 0 0 ; IDA Skins Folder
If anyone can tell me how they did it I would love the help.

The version of the plugin probably isn't compatible with the version of IDA pro... Try either different ones, that's how i solved it... (I'm using IDA pro 7.0 with the latest plugin version)

Thanks for telling me this gave me the idea that since the current one didn't work I looked up when IDA Pro 6.8 came out and then compared it to the previous releases of the Github I linked and was able to find the version 1.3.0 downloaded that and it worked with my IDA Pro. Thanks.

Not a single problem. Glad you solved it but you might wanna be careful about talking about warez stuff — it's against the rules even though I don't know how strict rake is about it.
