I want to develop hacks for sf, but i'm not sure how to do it. I was going to follow fleeps tutorials, but most of his are d3d9, isn't the newest directx11?

Indeed dx11 is the "new" thing....

Here's what I did to get my self caught up on hacking newer versions of DX
go to this website

go through the tutorials he has and then (assuming you did Fleeps tutorials) you can now apply your function hooking ideas / knowledge you have from fleeps videos to the new DX syntax

the function calls and names are different from DX9 to DX11, so the way you would hook a function doesnt change , but knowing what function does what will allow you to hook the proper functions that YOU want!

Here: I'll start you off :)

Thanks for repying. Also, does it matter which version of visual studio i use? I downloaded the 2012 one.

I'm following fleeps d3d menu tutorial, but I get this error. I follow his code 100%.

error C2664: 'LoadLibraryW' : cannot convert parameter 1 from 'const char [9]' to 'LPCWSTR'

I believe this error is causing me to have errors in my createfont function

Change to multi-byte

*edit Didnt see that you already fixed the problem xD... Im in a rush to class and just replied the moment i saw it.

Read games documentation, see which modules are loaded, eg d3d9.dll, d3d10.dll or d3dxgi.dll, you name it, tons of ways :)

you can also load up said game in IDA, or another disassembler and look at DX function calls.. different function names exist for different games.

Usually I do what c5 mentioned because its just easier, but I have done it the way I mentioned :p
