So I followed fleeps tutorial on codecaving and patternscanning. I can write to a float that I got from the codecaving.

This is how I write to the address and it works.
C++:
 *(float*)MaxTimePt = 10.0f;
Now, how would I go about reading the value from MaxTimePt?
MaxTimePt is a DWORD.

I tried casting to float, but that doesn't give me the correct value.

Thanks :)

C++:
float fReadValue = *(float*)MaxTimePt;

That's the thing, if I do that the game crashes for some reason.

EDIT:
The address was wrong, your solution worked, thanks :)
