Let's say I have a process which uses "ModuleA.dll" for many of its functions.

When I open up Process.exe with Ida I can't see the functions of ModuleA.dll.

Up untill now I have only used IDA on ModuleA.dll because of this, But now I am thinking maybe this is causing me to miss a few things.

Do I need dumping in order to be able to open process.exe and view all of its functions together with ModuleA.dll?

You can dump the process's memory to disk or make a memory snapshot using IDA. Or you can just open up ModuleA.dll in IDA. If you dynamically analyze the process by attaching you will have access to the DLL also
