C++ Calling Functions from a external Program
So, in my program i am trying to be able to enter the address where the function in the program and start it. But i want to do it externally.
In .dll you can just inject it into the program and define the Function address as a function.
But, I need to find a way to do it in an external program with arguments.
Any help with my problem is appreciated thanks.

dude im doing this, ofc it works if you do it correctly lel.
thats not what hes asking for though, hes not talking about exports, he KNOWS the address, he doesnt need to get the address, he just needs to start the function. As far as GPA goes, no, it does not work externally, what you'd be doing is the exact same thing i suggested, CreateRemoteThread, on GetProcAddress, with the required parameters.

As for lumi, lots of ways to do it, sockets, sections, files, pipes, events, choice is really yours

depending if the target function is marked for the exports, you can also use GetProcAddress, since thats one way how dll and exe can use each others functions, same for exe and exe

That doesn't work externally.

Thread terminates with whatever return value it received, so unless it was something like a pointer you can just immediately use the exit code ofr the thread

I have been researching and i think i should use a dll then inject that into an exe and use an external exe from the other two and send some sort of Inter-process communication from it to the dll telling it what to run.But i have found no good way to do this/examples of this. I need the exe to send a message saying like run this function in the dll. Any ideas?
