If you want to have a watermark rendering a texture (eg. as a sprite) is probably more effective.
And did you even try debugging the function to check which call fails? Plus without any source we can't help at all.
Haven't been looking at ayyware source but maybe try
draw::DrawString(PosX, PosY, PosZ, R, G, B, A, "Text");
btw dont paste ayyware, it may be a good source but i think you should learn by taking a cheat base and then making/pasting features to it, Thats the best way to learn.
